About Me

Alex holds a PhD in Ancient Near Eastern Studies from the Johns Hopkins University (2009). After fifteen years researching scribal education in ancient Iraq at Cornell University, she is now the Editor-in-Chief at Bothered Stories, an online platform specializing in exceptionally well-written short-form erotica. She has published extensively in her field, for academic and general audiences. She now focuses on historical fiction, storytelling through poetry, and publishes contemporary and queer romance and erotica, under the name Alice Holm.
